Jón Helgi Hólmgeirsson is a product and interaction designer from Reykjavik, Iceland. Jón is currently the creative director and co-owner of Genki Instruments, a startup that designs new and innovative hardware solutions for music creation and performance. Jón has also worked as a freelance product designer for over 10 years, working on projects for various clients ranging from accessories to interior design, furnitures to wearables. Some of their notable clients include IKEA, FÓLK, Norður Salt, Studio Bility, Aurum, Hring eftir Hring, City of Reykjavík, Nostra Restaurant and more.

Jón Helgi Hólmgeirsson graduated from Menntaskólinn við Hamrahlíð in 2007 with a matriculation examination in natural sciences. Jón then went on to study product design at the Icelandic Academy of the Arts, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in 2012. In 2014, they completed a Master's Degree in Interaction Design at Malmö University.
