Sasha Barisic is a seasoned professional currently serving as a Casual Academic at UNSW since May 2024, focusing on Engineering Design and Professional Practice. Additionally, Sasha has been a Data Engineer at GenieUs Genomics since January 2023, where responsibilities include leading the development of automated workflow systems for bioinformatics pipelines and integrating company metadata into a PostgreSQL database. Prior experience includes a role as Data Manager at GenieUs Genomics, managing resources for technical projects and assisting with programming tasks, as well as serving as a Software Developer at UNSW from August 2022 to January 2023, where Sasha led the product development lifecycle of an interactive dashboard for the UNSW Data Science Hub. Sasha Barisic is pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Bioinformatics at UNSW, having previously completed a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Belgrade.
