Jacob Cohen has extensive experience in the energy industry, with a focus on supply and risk management. Jacob currently serves as the Director of Supply & Risk Management at Genie Energy, where they lead a team of professionals and implements strategies to mitigate market volatility. Prior to this, Jacob founded Japan Power & Gas (JPG) and served as its CFO, establishing the company in the Japanese power and gas markets. Jacob also worked as the Vice President of Supply & Operations at Abest Power & Gas, overseeing business operations and financial controls. Jacob gained expertise in the energy business through their roles at Con Edison Energy, where they progressed from a Commodity Analyst to a Senior Energy Trader, leading hedging strategies and evaluating strategic deals with clients. Jacob started their career as a Staff Accountant at Coca-Cola Enterprises. Throughout their career, Jacob has demonstrated a strong ability to analyze markets, manage risks, and develop strategic plans for energy companies.
Jacob Cohen completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance, General from Fordham University. Jacob attended Fordham University from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting and Finance from Marist College, where they studied from 2001 to 2005.
