Sunny Jeng began their work experience in 2014 as a PhD Candidate and Teaching Assistant at Simon Fraser University. They held the position until 2018. In 2018, Sunny joined Genevant Sciences as a Scientist, where they conducted HPLC and LC/MS method development for studying the stability of RNA-based drug substances and drug products. They also developed bioanalytical methods to support research and discovery studies. In 2020, Sunny was promoted to Scientist II and then to Senior Scientist in 2021. Currently, Sunny holds the position of Principal Scientist at Genevant Sciences, starting in April 2023.

Sunny Jeng completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Simon Fraser University from 2008 to 2013. Following this, Sunny pursued further education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Simon Fraser University from 2013 to 2018.
