Boris Ohanyan is an experienced Programme Officer at the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD), focusing on research and innovation in Explosive Ordnance Risk Reduction operations since December 2021. Prior to this role, Boris supported various policy initiatives and conventions related to mine action and international humanitarian law, as well as contributed to project cycle management and capacity-building efforts. Boris has held positions at the World Trade Organization, Université de Genève, Tulip Consulting, and DiploFoundation, where activities included law and policy research, coordination of academic programs, and administrative support. Earlier experiences include roles in international arbitration, domestic legal due diligence, and legal translation within Armenia's Ministry of Justice. Education includes multiple advanced degrees in International Law and Governance from prestigious institutions in Geneva and Armenia, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Journalism.
