Thomas Olson, Ph.D. has had a long and successful career in the medical field. Beginning in 2002, they were an Instructor at the University of Minnesota. From 2009 to 2015, they worked at the Mayo Clinic, where they held the roles of Associate Professor of Medicine, Consultant in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Assistant Professor of Medicine, Senior Associate Consultant in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, and Associate Consultant in the Division of Cardiovascular Diseases. In 2015, they took on the role of Chief Clinical Officer at Geneticureā¢.
Thomas Olson, Ph.D. completed their B.A. in Exercise Science / Health Promotion from Concordia College from 1995 to 1999. Thomas then earned their M.S. in Exercise Physiology from The College of St. Scholastica from 1999 to 2000. From 2002 to 2005, they earned their Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Minnesota. After their doctorate, they completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Integrative Cardiopulmonary Physiology at Mayo Clinic School of Medicine from 2005 to 2008. Thomas then completed a Clinical and Translational Research Scholar (KL2) program at Mayo Clinic - Center for Translational Science Activities from 2008 to 2011.
