James Rene is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law. As the Chief Legal Officer at Genesys since 2012, James has demonstrated leadership in legal strategy. Prior roles include Deputy General Counsel, General Counsel for Alcatel North America, and General Counsel for the West Coast Region at Alcatel-Lucent from 2000 to 2011. Earlier in their career, James was a Partner at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP from 1994 to 2000. James holds a Juris Doctor degree from Cornell Law School, an MBA in Business and Finance from The Wharton School, and a Certificate of European Studies from Universität des Saarlandes. Additionally, James earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Languages from Occidental College.
