James P. Adamo, MD, FCCP, has extensive experience in pulmonary and critical care medicine. Currently serving as the Medical Director of Pulmonary and Critical Care Service at Genesis Healthcare System since December 2006, a position held since February 2012, James also held the role of Medical Director for the Critical Care Unit at Select Medical from January 2011 to November 2018. Additional leadership roles include Medical Director of Pulmonary/Respiratory Care at Ohio Integrated Care Providers from June 2013 to April 2015, Chairman of the Communications Committee for the same organization, and Vice-Chair of the Board of Managers. Earlier in their career, James was a partner at Riverside Pulmonary Associates, Inc. from August 1989 to November 2006. Educationally, James completed a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and an Internal Medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic, and earned an MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, in addition to an A.B. in Biology from the University of Chicago.
