Al Mercuro has a diverse work experience that spans across various companies and industries. Al started their career in 1989 as a Sales Consultant at Expo Display and Design before moving on to Genesis Exhibits in 1993, where they held the position of Senior Account Director. In 2003, they became a Member of the Board of Directors at Outpost in the Burbs, a role they held until 2010. Al also served as a Member of the Board of Trustees at Outpost in the Burbs during their tenure. In 2009, they took on the role of Co-Producer at Paul Erickson Studios, where they worked on a documentary film. Recently, in 2020, they joined Apprupo as a Senior Account Director. Al Mercuro's future endeavors include serving on the Board of Directors at the National Trade Show Alliance starting in 2023 and being a part of the Advisory Board at MUSE (Members United for Sustainable Events) from 2022 onwards.
Al Mercuro attended Montclair State University from 1970 to 1974. The degree and field of study are not specified. In addition to their educational background, Al has obtained several certifications. In August 2020, they completed the Event Safety Access Training Certification from the Event Safety Alliance. Al also obtained the WHO COVID-19 Mass Gatherings Risk Assessment Training from the World Health Organization in the same month. Furthermore, in September 2020, they acquired the COVID-19 Level A Certification for the Production Industry from Safe Sets International.
