Hua Bao has extensive experience in the fields of genomics and bioinformatics, currently serving as the Vice President of Research and Development at Geneseeq Technology Inc. since February 2016. In this role, Hua Bao directs and manages teams focused on the development of next-generation sequencing (NGS) products and machine learning algorithms, while leading scientific and translational research initiatives. Prior positions include Director of Research and Development and Head of Bioinformatics at the same company, where Hua Bao contributed to advancements in personalized medicine, minimal residual disease (MRD), and cancer early detection. Previous roles include Research Associate at the University of Alberta, Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of British Columbia, and Doctoral Student at Sun Yat-sen University, with a major in bioinformatics.
