Catalin Popescu is an experienced engineering manager currently at General Atomics since October 2016, with a robust background in mechanical engineering and significant expertise in thermal analysis and system design. Previously, Catalin held positions as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Maxwell Technologies and Ametek Programmable Power, where contributions included designing ultracapacitor systems, optimizing thermal performance, and developing cooling solutions for power supplies. Catalin began the professional career at ISE Corporation, focusing on the integration and reliability improvement of technologies in hybrid-electric drive systems for heavy-duty vehicles. Catalin earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Universitatea ā€žTransilvaniaā€ din Brașov.
