Kate Wickliffe is a Scientist 4 at Genentech and a Senior Scientific Researcher. Prior to their current role, Kate was a graduate student researcher at UC Berkeley, focusing on understanding the assembly of ubiquitin chains by E2/E3 enzymes. Before that, Kate was a Postbaccalaureate Research Fellow at the National Institutes of Health, studying how anthrax toxin activates the inflammasome to induce pyroptosis. Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Anthropology from Oberlin College and a PhD in Molecular & Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley.
