Thean Khoon is the current Finance Director at Genashtim and has been in the position for 10 months. Prior to this, they were with Cititel Hotel Management for 22 years and 8 months where they held positions such as Director of Finance and Financial Services Consultant. Thean then moved on to Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa as Senior Financial Controller for 8 years and 8 months before taking on the role of Financial Controller at Golden Sand Beach Resort Sdn Bhd for 5 years and 5 months. Theirfirst job was as an Accountant at Towncraft Distributors pty Ltd for 1 year and 1 month before moving on to Coopers & Lybrand as an Audit Clerk for 1 year and 8 months.

Thean Khoon attended the University of Auckland from 1975 to 1978, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
