Director Of Merchandising at Gemist

Rachel Harloff has held various roles in the past few years. In 2021, they are the Director Of Merchandising at Gemist, where they are responsible for creating products from initial idea through to sourcing, production, launch, and all factors of marketing, including copy, content, visual appearance on web, back-end engineering communication, and PR coordination. Rachel also handles all gemstone and diamond buying, as well as custom clients by providing concierge services and expertise in custom jewelry design. In 2020, they were the Accounts Receivables Manager and Production Assistant at Concierge Diamonds, Inc., where they managed the production process of custom pieces of jewelry, coordinated operations, managed intake of materials, created SKUs, assisted in photography, and ensured that production schedules were met. Rachel was also responsible for strong arithmetic skills, proficiency with Quickbooks, creating invoices, communicating with clients, recording and tracking payments, and verifying discrepancies. In 2019, they were the Regional Assistant at Douglas Emmett, where they focused on many tasks in a fast-paced team environment, established and maintained correspondence, records, and reports, and coordinated travel for high level executives. In 2018, they were the Executive Assistant at LSI Solutions, where they managed and maintained executive schedules, created and maintained planning tools, read, analyzed, and created submissions, letters, agendas, and memos, and determined significance and routed to appropriate personnel. Rachel was also the Market and Group Promotions Manager at GateHouse Media, where they were responsible for planning and executing all promotional activities, reaching an average of 142,000 locations, and managing an email database of over 15,000 contacts.

Rachel Harloff attended Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design (RMCAD) from 2014 to 2016, studying Fashion/Apparel Design. Rachel then attended SUNY Oneonta from 2016 to 2018, earning a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising. Currently, Rachel is enrolled at GIA (Gemological Institute of America) and is expected to graduate in 2022 with an Applied Jewelry Professional (AJP) degree.
