Ruud Braun has extensive experience in local government and education, currently serving as Wethouder at Gemeente Voerendaal since May 2018, focusing on finance, sustainability, and housing. In addition to leading multiple committees and boards related to finance and sustainable development, Ruud Braun held the position of Dagelijks bestuurslid at BsGW since June 2021 and has been involved with Stadsregio Parkstad Limburg since October 2019. Previously, Ruud Braun has served in various educational roles, including as a school leader and coordinator at Sintermeertencollege from 2015 to 2018, and as a science teacher at SVOPL from 2006 to 2018. Educational qualifications include a Post HBO in Politiek bestuurlijk management from Tilburg University and a Bachelor of Education in Chemistry from Fontys Hogeschool Tilburg.
