Elke Wouters is an experienced political advisor and public servant with a strong background in social policy and governance. Currently serving as Raadgever Algemeen Beleid for the Kabinet Vlaams minister-president Matthias Diependaele since October 2024, Elke has held several significant positions, including Bestuurder at the Agentschap Uitbetaling Groeipakket since January 2019 and a longstanding member of the gemeenteraad in Grimbergen since January 2013. Previous roles include advising on welfare and family issues for various vice ministers and serving as a Vlaams Volksvertegenwoordiger. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Criminology from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Odisee, complemented by studies at Vlerick Business School.
