Sidney Tetelepta currently serves as a member of the Participatie working group and the Social Domain Advisory Council at Gemeente Capelle aan den IJssel, focusing on issues related to Employment, Income, Poverty, and Debt, while advocating for vulnerable residents. Additionally, Sidney is a member of the Accessibility and Mobility Inclusion working group, contributing expertise as an individual with a visual impairment. Since October 2014, Sidney has been the founder and chair of Stichting Gebruikers Assistentiehonden, addressing accessibility challenges faced by assistance dog users and raising awareness about assistance dogs in public venues. Furthermore, Sidney participates in CEN/TC452 Assistance Dogs, representing the interests of assistance dog users in the ongoing development of relevant standards.
