Gijs Jansen has a strong background in sustainability and environmental policy, currently serving as a Beleidsmedewerker Duurzaamheid en Milieu at Gemeente Beuningen since May 2019. Prior experience includes roles as Corporate Sustainability Manager at Pure! Travel Group and Medewerker Bodemdesk at Liander. Gijs also worked as an Examentrainer at Inwijs and held various positions in the service industry, including Assistent-bedrijfsleider at Cafe Daen. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Environment & Society from Radboud University, expected in January 2024, and a Bachelor's degree in Geografie, Planologie en Milieu from the same institution, completed in 2017. Gijs began academic education at Sint Ludgercollege Doetinchem, graduating with a VWO degree in 2008.
