Amira is an Egyptian urban designer and placemaking with 8 years of experience working on urban development projects in multiple contexts. Her experience ranges from applying the PSPL method with Gehl New York back in 2016 to designing complete streets & building the first bike share system in Cairo to activating a public park in Ismailia, Egypt using placemaking interventions. Amira is passionate about the design of space between buildings. Her approach revolves around respecting the context and culture & understanding the localsā€™ needs to be able to activate public space for the community. She also enjoys coming up with innovative and sustainable strategies to reimagine the citiesā€™ shared urban space.
