Amira is an Egyptian urban designer and placemaking with 8 years of experience working on urban development projects in multiple contexts. Her experience ranges from applying the PSPL method with Gehl New York back in 2016 to designing complete streets & building the first bike share system in Cairo to activating a public park in Ismailia, Egypt using placemaking interventions. Amira is passionate about the design of space between buildings. Her approach revolves around respecting the context and culture & understanding the localsā needs to be able to activate public space for the community. She also enjoys coming up with innovative and sustainable strategies to reimagine the citiesā shared urban space.
