Frank Jimenez

Vice President & General Counsel at GE Healthcare Systems

Frank R. Jimenez is Vice President and General Counsel of GE Healthcare. Frank is responsible for all legal, government affairs, and compliance matters, including litigation, intellectual property and licensing, international trade compliance, labor & employment, data privacy, environmental, M&A, corporate governance, and business risk.

Previously, Frank served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Raytheon Technologies Corporation, a leader in technologies across the full spectrum of aviation, space and defense formed by the 2020 merger of Raytheon Company and United Technologies Corporation. In prior corporate positions, Frank served as General Counsel for Raytheon Company (defense), Bunge Limited (agribusiness and food), Xylem Inc. (fluid technology), and ITT Corporation (multi-industrial), where he managed the 2011 spin-offs of two public companies, Xylem and Exelis Inc. (defense technology).

In prior public service, Frank served as the 21st General Counsel of the Navy, one of seven Senate-confirmed Pentagon civilians of four-star equivalent rank overseeing the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps; Deputy General Counsel (Legal Counsel) of the U.S. Department of Defense; Principal Deputy General Counsel of the Navy; Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; and Deputy Chief of Staff and Acting General Counsel for Florida Governor Jeb Bush. Previously, he was a litigation partner at Steel Hector & Davis (now Squire Patton Boggs) in Miami, FL, and clerked for Judge Pamela Ann Rymer of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in Pasadena, CA.

Frank graduated from the University of Miami and the Yale Law School. He also holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and a master’s degree from the U.S. Naval War College. He serves on the boards of HII (Huntington Ingalls Industries), Equal Justice Works, and the Yale Law School Fund, and the advisory boards of the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, the Yale Law School Center for the Study of Corporate Law, the University of Miami Herbert Business School, and the National Security Institute of the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University.
