Francois Giguere is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in power electronics and automation. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Vention since January 2017, Francois has also held the positions of VP Automation & Application R&D and Head of Automation. Concurrently, Francois works as a Power Electronics Designer at Current, powered by GE, since September 2015. Prior experience includes a role in Research & Development at GE Lighting, focusing on power conversion for Solid-State Lighting and embedded systems, as well as participation in the Edison Engineering Development Program at General Electric. Francois holds a Master's of Science & Engineering in Electrical Engineering: Power Electronics from Queen's University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from McGill University, where early work included research in integrated circuits for MEM humidity sensors.
