Welly Setiono, FRM has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Welly began their career at Bank of America in 2001, where they held various positions such as Securities Operation Analyst and Market Risk Manager. During their time with Bank of America, Welly Setiono also served as Vice President and Head of Japan Product Control and Assistant Vice President and Team Lead of Japan Product Control.

In 2013, Welly Setiono became Director and Head of APAC Product Control for Rates, EM, and FX Products at Bank of America. Welly later assumed the role of Director and Head of APAC Business Finance Controller for Rates. Welly Setiono continued to excel and was eventually promoted to the position of Strategy Analyst and Product Manager at GC Turbo Inc. in 2019. Currently, Welly Setiono serves as the Director of Strategy and Business Intelligence at AKA Virtual, a position they have held since 2021. Throughout their career, Welly Setiono has showcased their expertise in finance, risk management, and strategic planning.

Welly Setiono, FRM, began their education journey by obtaining an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations from Foothill College from 1996 to 1998. Welly then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Finance + Computer Information System from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business, which they completed from 1998 to 2000.

In addition to their formal education, Welly Setiono has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2016, they completed the Data Science Foundations - Level 2 certification from IBM. In 2017, they acquired the Learning Python certification from LinkedIn.

Furthermore, Welly Setiono has also achieved professional certifications. Welly obtained the Operational Risk Manager Certificate from PRMIA - Professional Risk Managers' International Association in September 2019. Welly also holds the JLPT N2 certification, awarded by The Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services in December 2019.

Moreover, Welly Setiono achieved the Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation through the GARP FRM Program in 2019. Lastly, in January 2020, they obtained the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
