Sarah Ticho serves as the Director at Hatsumi, a multidisciplinary agency focused on human-centered experiences that blend immersive art, scientific research, and healthcare since February 2018. In addition, Sarah currently holds the role of Advisor to the Games and Immersive Media Working Group for the Global Mental Health Task Force, which is led by Dr. Deepak Chopra, and has been a Fellow at the RSA since October 2024. Other current positions include Future Art and Culture Ambassador at British Underground, juror for the XR Experience Competition at SXSW Sydney, member of GBx, and Associate at the Centre for Arts and Wellbeing at the University of Brighton. Sarah is also an External Advisory Board member for Bournemouth University's Animation, Simulation & Visualisation Strategic Investment Area and co-founded the XR Health Alliance in May 2021, focusing on immersive technologies in healthcare, as well as co-founded Lemonade, a project merging music with interactive experiences. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from the University of Kent, with additional studies in Cultural Anthropology and Japanese at Kansai Gaidai University.
