Dennis Cantrell has over 40 years of work experience in the engineering industry. Dennis started their career at Burns & McDonnell as a Project Manager and Marketing Director, where they worked for over 20 years. Dennis then joined MKEC as a Principal for 5 years before moving to HNTB as an Associate VP for 7 years. Currently, they are working at George Butler Associates as Vice President/Principal, responsible for client and staff development, marketing, and investment opportunities in the water environment sector.

Dennis Cantrell attended KCK Community College from 1970 to 1972, but did not obtain a degree or study a specific field during this time. Afterward, they attended The University of Kansas from 1972 to 1975, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
