Edgar Poureshagh began their work experience in 2008 as the Director of Human Resources at Nishra Holdings, Inc. Edgar then worked as a Human Capital Consultant at JPR Leadership Consulting from 2011 to 2015. In 2015, they joined Account Control Technology, Inc. as the Vice President of Talent Relations until 2017. Edgar then became the Director of Human Resources at Heal, a healthcare startup, from 2017 to 2018. Later, they served as the Sr. Director of Human Resources at ACES (Comprehensive Educational Services, Inc.) from 2018 to 2021. From 2021 to 2022, Edgar held the position of Vice President Human Resources at Resurgence Behavioral Health. Currently, they are the Chief Human Resources Officer at Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center starting from 2022.

Edgar Poureshagh completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from California State University-Dominguez Hills, starting in 2003 and graduating in 2005. Edgar then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Leadership and Management from the University of La Verne, starting in 2006 and finishing in 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Poureshagh obtained a certification as a Predictive Index (PI) Analyst from PI Worldwide in March 2016.
