Zachary Morrison has a long history of working in the GIS field, beginning in 2010 as an Opinions Columnist for The Daily Toreader. In 2012, they became a Physical Geography Lab Instructor and GIS Research Assistant at Texas Tech University, where they were responsible for GIS research pertaining to subterranean tunnel smuggling under the US/Mexico border. In 2013, they took on a Geoscience Technology Intern role at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, where they were responsible for seismic and spatial data management and organization. Zachary then moved to Gulf Coast Energy Resources, LLC in 2014 as a Geoscience Technologist, where they were responsible for the GIS component of Geosciences as well as spatial and seismic data acquisition and management. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a GIS Business Process Analyst at BNSF Railway. In 2020, they were a GIS Specialist at HX5, LLC, and in 2021 they became a Geographic Information Systems Analyst at Purple Land Management. Zachary currently holds the role of Senior GIS Analyst at Gateway Fiber.
Zachary Morrison attended Texas Tech University from 2010 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Geography/Geographic Information Systems. Zachary also attended the University of Houston from 2009 to 2010, studying Geography.
