Rushelle McDermott is an experienced educator currently serving as a Teacher at Gateway Community Charters since August 2017, and as a CELDT Scorer for the Sacramento County Office of Education since September 2015. McDermott has a diverse teaching background including roles as a Substitute Teacher with the Elk Grove Unified School District and a Teacher at Destination Science, in addition to tutoring experience at Mobile Minds Tutoring. Previous experience includes providing customer service as a Senior Customer Service Representative at Verizon Wireless and teaching English in South Korea. McDermott holds a Master of Education in Instructional Design and two Bachelor’s degrees in Interdisciplinary Studies (Elementary Education) and English.
