Mark Olsen has been working in the audio-visual production industry since 2000. In 2000, they began working as a Production Crew for the Montreat Conference Center, where they provided audio and visual support to conferences and served as the primary audio technician for all productions in the auditorium. In 2003, they were promoted to Production Manager at the Montreat Conference Center, where they managed a small crew of 8 employees and directed on stage productions for conferences. That same year, they began working as Programming Director and Station Manager for ASU TV, where they maintained daily programming responsibilities for the cable access channel and directed twice-weekly newscasts. In 2005, they began working as the Master Control Director for KATV, where they maintained production quality for over-the-air broadcasts, maintained FCC Daily Programming Logs, and ingested commercials and other programming into the server database. In 2012, they began working as the Production Coordinator for the Arkansas Lottery Commission, where they recorded, edited, and produced video and radio commercials, as well as documented lottery winners and events through photographs. In 2017, they began working as a Lead Technician for Professional Service Audio-Visual, where they set-up and monitored audio and visual equipment for events, repaired audio and visual equipment, and produced videos and graphics for use in conferences. That same year, they began working as a Freelance Videographer and Editor. In 2019, they began working as a Software Developer for Gas Pos and in 2020, they began working as a Help Desk Representative for Insight.
Mark Olsen received a Bachelor's degree in Radio/Television with an emphasis in Audio/Visual Production from Arkansas State University between 2002 and 2005. Before that, they attended Arkansas State University-Beebe for General Studies from 1999 to 2002. In 2018, they obtained a Certificate in Java, HTML and SQL Development from the Arkansas Coding Academy. Additionally, they have a Program Certificate in JAVA, SQL, and HTML from the Arkansas Coding Academy.
