Brendan ORiordan is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the Green Gas Certification Lead at Gas Networks Ireland since November 2018. In this role, Brendan successfully established the Renewable Gas Registry for grid-injected renewable gases in Ireland in 2020 and was appointed the official Issuing Body for Ireland in July 2022. Prior to this, Brendan held the position of Connections Policy - Regulatory Lead at Irish Water from November 2017 to October 2018, and previously worked at Gas Networks Ireland from November 2008 to October 2017 as the Northern Ireland Operations Lead and Senior Commercial Analyst. Brendan is a Chartered Accountant, having completed education with Chartered Accountants Ireland from 1997 to 2001, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Cork, completed in May 1997.
