Azmi Ahmad is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the Head of Special Project and LNG Specialist at Gas Malaysia since January 2023. Prior to this role, Azmi held various leadership positions at PETRONAS from May 1997 to October 2022, including significant roles in commercial excellence, portfolio optimization, and global LNG trading. Azmi's responsibilities included managing trading strategies, market development, and supply origination, as well as oversight of P&L in LNG trading operations. Azmi's earlier career included a managerial position focused on the integrated LNG value chain. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Accounting & Finance from Lancaster University and a Graduate Certificate in International Management from the University of Melbourne. Azmi also participated in a corporate education program at Duke University.
