Leslie Burnett currently serves as the Medical Laboratory Director for Australia at Invitae since May 2022 and holds positions as a Visiting Scientist and Genetic Pathologist at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research since July 2016. Leslie has extensive experience in genomic medicine, serving as the Chief Medical Officer at Genome.One, and as a Conjoint Professor at UNSW and an Honorary Professor at the University of Sydney. Previous roles include Medical Director at Genome.One, Genetic Pathologist at NSW Health Pathology, and leadership in various advisory committees and professional associations, such as the Human Genetics Advisory Committee and the Australasian Association of Clinical Biochemistry. Leslie's contributions to clinical immunology and pathology have been significant, including the development of educational resources for public understanding of pathology tests.
