Kevin Nicholas

Project Lead and Senior Test and Evaluation (T&E) Engineer at Garud Technology Services

Kevin Nicholas has over 15 years of experience in the field of test and evaluation engineering. Kevin is currently working as a Project Lead and Senior Test and Evaluation Engineer at Garud Technology Services Inc. In this role, they are responsible for leading projects and ensuring effective test and evaluation processes.

Prior to their current position, Kevin worked at Alion Science and Technology as a Senior Test Engineer. Here, they provided operational test and evaluation subject matter support for various military sealift command programs. Kevin worked closely with the Commander, Operational Test and Evaluation Force (COMOPTEVFOR) and was involved in test documentation review, operational test planning, and execution, among other responsibilities.

Before joining Alion Science and Technology, Kevin worked at General Dynamics Information Technology as a Senior Test Engineer from 2008 to 2011.

Kevin started their career in the U.S. Navy, where they served as a Commander (O-5) in the Commander, Operational Test and Evaluation Force. Kevin held various roles, including Operational Test Coordinator, Amphibious/Mine Warfare Requirements Officer, and Chief Staff Officer for Amphibious Squadron SIX (PHIBRON 6).

Kevin holds a Secret clearance and has extensive experience in test and evaluation processes, including integrated testing, test planning, and test analysis. Kevin has a strong background in military acquisition programs and has contributed to the development of Final Test Reports.

Kevin Nicholas has a Master's Degree in Education from Old Dominion University, which they obtained from 2001 to 2003. Kevin also holds a Master's Degree in Marine Affairs from the University of Rhode Island, completed from 1985 to 1988. Additionally, they have a Bachelor's Degree in Conservation and Resource Development from the University of Maryland, which they earned between 1973 and 1978. Moreover, Kevin Nicholas obtained a certification in Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III Test and Evaluation from the Department of Defense Education Activity in 2008.
