Phil Oberst

Head Of Operations at Garten

Phil Oberst has had a long and diverse work experience in the food and hospitality industry. Phil started their career in 1990 as the Director of Food & Beverage / Executive Chef at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where they worked for 16 years. In 2006, they joined Guckenheimer as an Area Manager and stayed with the company until 2019. In 2019, they briefly worked as the Vice President of Operations at Nourish Inc before joining Garten. At Garten, they initially worked as an Optimization Specialist before being promoted to the role of Head of Operations in September 2020.

Phil Oberst attended The Culinary Institute of America from 1987 to 1989, where they earned an AOS degree in Culinary Arts. Prior to that, from 1983 to 1987, they attended Wilson Technological Center, where they obtained a Culinary Arts & Baking Vocational Degree. In addition to their degrees, Phil also holds a ServeSafe Certification from SERVESAFE National Restaurant Association, which they obtained in May 2017.
