Ana Cisneros Alvarez has extensive work experience in the legal field, particularly in advocating for workers' rights. Ana is currently serving as the Legal Director at the Garment Worker Center since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the Wage Justice Center, where they held multiple roles including Staff Attorney and later served as the Executive Director/Legal Director. Before their time at the Wage Justice Center, Ana worked as a Staff Attorney at both Inner City Law Center and the Bet Tzedek Legal Services. Ana also gained experience as a Law Clerk at various organizations including The Wage Justice Center, United States Department of Labor, Office of the Solicitor, Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy, and Bet Tzedek Legal Services. Additionally, they worked as a Summer Legal Intern at the UCLA Labor Center and as a Legal Organizer for the CLEAN Car Wash Campaign. Ana started their career at Inner City Law Center as an Executive Assistant.
Ana Cisneros Alvarez received a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Pomona College in 2007. Ana later attended Loyola Law School, Los Angeles and earned their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from 2010 to 2013.
