Amanda Brown Heckert is an established editorial leader with extensive experience in the publishing industry. Currently serving as Executive Editor at Garden & Gun Magazine, LLC since August 2016, Amanda previously held the position of Editor in Chief at Indianapolis Monthly from February 2012 to August 2016, where oversight of all editorial content was a key responsibility. Prior to that, Amanda was a Senior Editor at Atlanta Magazine from August 2006 to February 2012, contributing to various feature articles and editorial packages. Amanda's career began as an Associate Editor at Newcomer Magazine and included a role as a Freelance Copy Editor for Bruccoli Clark Layman, Inc. Amanda holds a degree in Journalism, Advertising, and Italian from the University of South Carolina, earned between 1999 and 2003.
