Alec Mitchell has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Alec started their career as an Electrical Engineering Intern at Coilcraft, Inc. in 2014. Alec then became an Electrical Engineering Co-op at the same company in 2015, where they focused on research and development of electronic and magnetic power components.

In 2017, Alec joined Nett Technologies Inc. as an R&D Technologist, where they managed emissions testing projects and performed mathematical modeling and optimization of gaseous thermodynamic processes. Alec also calibrated and commissioned an engine test cell compliant with regulatory standards.

From 2018 to 2020, Alec worked at McMaster University as a Research and Teaching Assistant, gaining experience in both research and teaching in a university setting.

In 2020, Alec joined Illinois Rocstar as a Computational Engineer II, where they implemented software solutions for clean energy DOE contracts. Alec'sresponsibilities included web-based interface development, software requirements gathering, user interface design, and technical writing.

Currently, Alec is working at Gamma Technologies as a Battery Electrochemistry Development Engineer. Here, they are a part of the electrification product development team and focuses on energy storage devices, specifically battery electrochemistry development using the Newman pseudo-2D model for GT-AutoLion.

Alec Mitchell has an impressive educational background. In 2018, they enrolled at McMaster University and completed their Master of Science degree in Computational Science and Engineering in 2020. Prior to this, Alec attended the University of Waterloo from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Honours Mathematical Physics with a specialization in Astrophysics. Before their university studies, Alec graduated from Woodstock North High School in 2013 with a High School Diploma.
