Saara Uthmaan is an emerging professional in the field of Informatics, currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Informatics with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Washington, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing. As a LinkedIn Software Engineering Mentee, Saara participates in a selective intern development program while actively contributing as Outreach Chair for AVELA UW, VP of Communications for ColorStack UW, and Director of Diversity Efforts for UW Black in Informatics. Additionally, Saara engaged in various technology programs, including the AT&T Technology Academy and Discover Financial Services' Explore Discover Program, and has gained research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering. With a strong commitment to mentorship, outreach, and professional development, Saara supports fellow students as a Writing Tutor, achieving notable success in graduate school admissions.
