Ricardo Hoar has a diverse range of work experience spanning various roles and industries.

Ricardo is currently working at GameDriver as a Development Team Lead and Software Developer, starting in 2023 and 2022 respectively.

Prior to that, from 2018 to 2022, Ricardo worked at Silicon Hanna Inc. as a Lead Developer, where they were involved in concept development and support, utilizing technologies such as Unreal Engine, Android Studio, and XCode.

From 2014 to 2021, they worked at Pearson as an Author, co-authoring a university-level textbook on web development. The book has been widely used by colleges and universities and translated into Greek and Chinese.

Between 2018 and 2019, Ricardo served as an Associate Dean at Sheridan College, overseeing a wide range of responsibilities and duties, including staff management and creating a positive work culture.

From 2007 to 2017, they held multiple roles at Mount Royal University, including Department Chair and Associate Professor. As Department Chair, they were responsible for administrative tasks and faculty management, while as an Associate Professor, they taught computer science courses and engaged in scholarly activities.

In 2007, Ricardo worked at Clickspace Interactive as a Software Developer, collaborating with designers and programmers on web applications.

Ricardo also has experience as an Instructor at the University of Calgary in 2006, teaching adults principles of HTML, CSS, and basic web design.

Additionally, they worked as a Web Architect at the Alberta Securities Commission in 2006, where they improved website downtime and workflow processes.

Ricardo Hoar earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Calgary. Ricardo later pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same university, which they completed between 2002 and 2004.
