Patrick Browne is an experienced professional currently serving as a Councillor for Fife Council since May 2022. In addition to this role, Patrick has been a Partnership Specialist with the Gambling Commission since 2014, focusing on the National Strategy to Reduce Gambling Harms, alongside previous roles in compliance and local authority partnerships. From 2017 to 2021, Patrick contributed as a Scottish Council Member at the Institute of Licensing. Prior leadership experience includes serving as Chief Executive of the Scottish Beer and Pub Association from 2004 to 2014, and as a Media and Public Affairs Manager at BAE Systems from 2002 to 2004. Patrick's career began in local government, including roles as Councillor and Deputy Leader at North Ayrshire Council and as Researcher and Personal Assistant in the House of Commons. Educational achievements include a Master of Science in Entrepreneurial Studies from Glasgow Caledonian University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Glasgow.
