Kristina Monti, PhD, LCSW, serves as the Behavioral Health Lead at Galileo since August 2021. Previously, Kristina was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Addiction Institute at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai from September 2019 to August 2021. Kristina held the position of Director of Special Projects for the Psychiatric ER at Mount Sinai St. Luke's and Mount Sinai West from January 2017 to August 2021, where oversight included the behavioral health crisis response system and the establishment of a mobile outreach team. Kristina also contributed as an Adjunct Professor at Adelphi University between September 2012 and January 2021, teaching courses related to substance abuse and social welfare. Earlier experience includes co-director roles focused on integrated health home care coordination and clinical positions within the Mount Sinai Health System and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Kristina earned a PhD in Social Work from Adelphi University, an MSW from Simmons University, and a BS in Anthropology from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.
