Katie (Bowling) Southwood serves as the Senior Associate Director of Career Development at Miami University’s Center For Career Exploration & Success, where strategic collaboration with Deans, Faculty, and Staff enhances holistic student career development. With extensive experience overseeing career engagement for over 500 student athletes and advising approximately 400 students annually, Katie integrates the Life Design framework into career planning. Additionally, as a Career & Life Transition Coach at Galea Health and a Mental Training Coach for Katie Bowling Mental Training Coach, Katie facilitates mental training sessions for young athletes, emphasizing performance maximization. Previous coaching roles include significant achievements as an Assistant Varsity Synchronized Skating Coach at Miami University and pedagogical experience at the Ann Arbor Figure Skating Club. Katie holds a Master of Science in Kinesiology and Health from Miami University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
