Danielle Macoretta has a diverse work experience in the chemical industry, academia, and research. Danielle started their career as a Research Assistant at Wilfrid Laurier University in 2011, where they worked until 2012. Following that, they joined Queen's University as a Research Assistant and also served as a 3rd Year Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory Teaching Assistant from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, they joined Axiall Corporation (Solucor) as a Research and Development Technician, and later took on the role of Development Chemist I from 2015 to 2016. Since 2016, Danielle has been working at Galata Chemicals, LLC, where they started as a Development Chemist I and then progressed to the role of Global Product Manager until 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Global Business Director - Polymer Modifiers at Galata Chemicals, LLC.
Danielle Macoretta obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Chemistry from Queen's University from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed an Honours Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry at Wilfrid Laurier University from 2008 to 2012.
In addition to their formal education, Danielle Macoretta also obtained several certifications. In February 2016, they received the WHMIS 2015 for Workers certification from the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety. In March 2015, they obtained the Part 1 Joint Health and Safety Committee Certification and the Part 2 Workplace Specific Hazard Training, both from the Ontario Ministry of Labour.
