Christopher Barcelona has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the fields of strategy, customer success, brand strategy, innovation, growth, and business development. Christopher most recently served as the SVP of Strategy at g2o since December 2021. Prior to that, they were a Member of the Board of Directors at Mount Carmel Health System starting in January 2019. Christopher also held the position of VP of Customer Success and Brand Strategy at SMITH from September 2020 to December 2021.
From September 2019 to September 2020, Christopher was the Chief Innovation and Growth Officer at Chute Gerdeman, where they led the company's strategy, account service, and digital practices, and played a key role in financial planning, business management, and new business development.
Before that, Christopher worked at IBM iX, where they held roles as Associate Partner and North American Digital Lead for Retail, Consumer Goods, and Travel/Transportation from November 2018 to September 2019, and as Associate Partner and Retail Growth & Business Development Lead from August 2017 to November 2018. At IBM iX, they were responsible for driving growth and impact in the digital business by developing a strategic vision, identifying opportunities, and leveraging partnerships.
Prior to their time at IBM iX, Christopher worked at Resource/Ammirati, An IBM Company, where they held roles including Vice President - Omni Commerce from March 2017 to August 2017, Executive Director of Omni Experience from May 2014 to March 2017, Executive Creative Director from July 2011 to May 2014, and Director - RI:Lab from January 2010 to July 2011. In these roles, they were involved in account leadership, strategic client planning, creative direction, and innovation.
Christopher has also worked at Reflex Design & Technology as the Director of Customer Experience & Creative Strategy from January 2009 to January 2010, at Bath & Body Works as the Creative Director from May 2008 to January 2009, at Blue Diesel as the Vice President of Strategic Planning from March 2007 to May 2008, and at American Eagle Outfitters as the Director of Creative Marketing from May 2006 to March 2007.
Throughout their career, Christopher has demonstrated expertise in strategy development, client growth, business development, financial planning, and team leadership. Christopher has worked with notable clients such as Victoria's Secret, Walmart, DSW, Kohl's, CVS, Bose, Proctor & Gamble, and American Eagle Outfitters, among others.
Christopher Barcelona studied at the University of Cincinnati from 1987 to 1992, where they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design.
