Simon Stock is a lecturer at Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) Karlsruhe, teaching Artificial Intelligence for Business Information Scientists since September 2023. Stock currently holds a postdoc researcher position at Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT), contributing to the BMBF funded project "METIS" and supervising Bachelor and Master theses. With extensive experience in human brain and neuroscience, wearable sensors, machine learning, and computer vision, Simon has received the Faculty Teaching Award in 2020 for initiating the LAMA initiative. As a co-founder of Metis Neurotec, Simon focuses on combating neurodegenerative diseases through digital treatment concepts and AI. Additionally, Simon collaborates with prominent institutions including RIKEN and MIT and has previously worked with Carl Zeiss Meditec AG and Microsoft, gaining valuable industry insights alongside a comprehensive academic background culminating in a Dr.-Ing. in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from KIT.
