Carl Bernier has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Carl is currently working as an Azure DevOps at FX Innovation since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Freelance Web Developer from October 2016 and was self-employed. From January 2020 to July 2021, they served as a DevOps Engineer at TELUS. Previously, from April 2018 to August 2019, they worked as a DevOps Engineer at Squirrel Systems, where they were responsible for various tasks related to Azure DevOps and Jenkins CI infrastructure. Carl also worked as a Senior Software Developer at Nexio from November 2015 to October 2016. Before that, they held the position of DevOps/Senior Software Developer at Genetec from July 2008 to November 2015. Additionally, in the early years of their career, they worked as an Electronics Technician at Mitec Telecom from 2006 to 2008, and as a Software Developer at Industry Canada from May 2005 to September 2005. Carl began their career as a Junior Software Developer at Matrox from March 2000 to December 2004.

Carl Bernier obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from École de technologie supérieure, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. In addition, Carl obtained two certifications, namely "Azure Development Essential Training: 1 Azure Roadmap and Key Features" and "Azure Development Essential Training: 2 Working with Data", from LinkedIn in April 2018.
