Abiy Bekele is an experienced professional in the financial services and marketing sectors, currently serving as the Industry Vice President & Publisher at SmartBrief, a unit of Future plc, since October 2020. Bekele leads the Financial Services practice, developing a high-performing sales team and producing targeted business insights for C-Suite executives and other professionals. Since August 2013, Bekele has been an Executive Committee and Board Member of the Financial Communications Society, contributing to its mission of community, education, and philanthropy. Previously, at SmartBrief since 2004, Bekele founded and managed the financial services group, ensuring consistent revenue growth and spearheading initiatives like a live cybersecurity conference.
