Lucas Newman is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and product development. Currently serving as VP of Engineering and Head of Mobile at Future since May 2017, Lucas previously held significant roles at Apple from January 2008 to May 2017, including Engineering Manager for Video Products, where leadership of the team was crucial in building video-related apps for the iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. Lucas contributed to the creation of the operating system that evolved into tvOS while working on user interface prototypes for innovative hardware like the Siri remote. As an early member of the iPhone team, Lucas was instrumental in developing essential media apps, including Music and Voice Memos. Prior to Apple, Lucas worked as a Software Engineer at Delicious Monster Software, where involvement in the creation of the award-winning Delicious Library and contribution to the jailbreak iPhone development community showcased a commitment to advancing software and user experiences.
