Vipul Shinde is a Machine Learning Engineer currently working at Furniture.com since January 2024. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Georgia from July 2021 to October 2023, where Vipul developed probabilistic models for the US Department of Agriculture - ARS, focusing on the causal relationship and co-occurrence of AMR genes in bacteria. In a previous role at The RealReal during the summer of 2022, Vipul built a Deep Learning model to assess the authenticity of handbags from images, implementing an end-to-end pipeline with U-Net and CNN models. Earlier experience includes an Assistant System Engineer position at Tata Consultancy Services and an internship at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, focusing on distributed control systems. Vipul holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from The University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics Engineering from Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology.
