Mike Van is the current CEO and Co-Founder at Furnishr. Prior to their current position, Mike was a StartupNEXT Mentor at Techstars from October 2015 to April 2017. In this role, they helped eight companies move towards launch and financing by securing an understanding of their customer development strategy, market size, competitors, Minimum Viable Product, fundability, and pitching. Mike also prepared them for a tangible milestone, such as an accelerator or investment.

Prior to their role at Techstars, Mike was the Co-Founder at Mirens Inc from September 2014 to February 2015. Mike was also a Senior Financial Analyst at Praxair from October 2013 to September 2014 and at Kellogg Company from November 2012 to September 2013. In addition, Mike served as Business Integration Manager at Mosaic North America from January 2012 to November 2012 and as Senior Financial Analyst at Mosaic Sales Solutions/Consumer Impact Marketing from January 2011 to December 2011.

Mike Van is a CPA and CMA who graduated from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) and Thompson Rivers University. Mike also has an HBSc in Economics and Psychology from the University of Toronto Mississauga and another HBSc in Psychology and Economics from the University of Toronto. Mike is also certified from the Society of Certified Management Accountants of Canada as a Certified Managerial Accountant.
