Scott Gast has a long and varied work experience. Scott began their career in 1998 as Information Systems Manager for Psi Chi. In 1999, they took on the role of Database Consultant for Chattem, Inc. Scott then moved to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2007 as Online Technologies Coordinator. In 2011, they began working as a QA Engineer and Client Support Engineer for Blackboard. In 2014, they became Director of QA and QA Manager for HotelTonight, followed by Senior Mobile QA Engineer in the same company. In 2019, they took on the roles of QA Engineering Manager and QA Engineer for Dropbox, as well as Director of QA, HotelTonight for Airbnb. Currently, they are Senior QA Manager for Funnel Leasing.

Scott Gast obtained a BA in History from Covenant College between 1991 and 1995. Scott then went on to obtain an MPA in Public Administration from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga between 2008 and 2010. In December 2020, they also obtained a certification in Managing in a Matrixed Organization from LinkedIn.
